Biography
Yiwei Fang is Associate Professor of Finance at IIT Stuart School of Business. She has previously served as a visiting scholar at Bank of Finland and Stern School of Business at New York University.
Dr. Fang's research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, financial institutions, and supply chain finance. One area of her research revolves around the network phenomenon of business world and its impacts on corporations’ cost of financing, investment decisions, and firm value. Another research focus is related to bank risk and performance in transition countries and central bank governance.
Dr. Fang's research has been funded by grants from U.S. Department of State, Ewing M. Kauffman Foundation, and Berkley Research Center of New York University. She has been published in the Journal of Empirical Finance and Economics of Transition.
