Trevor Long

Since completing an MBA at Henley Management College (now Business School) in 1991, I have managed The Development Consultancy Ltd, specialising in organisational strategy, management education, leadership and organisational psychology. I work on consultancy and education projects, often combining strategic and operational analysis, the design of educational programmes, change implementation, workshop facilitation and personal coaching. This followed a career at BT Research Laboratories, in applied psychology and the Human Factors of system development.

I have worked with organisations from SME’s to large multinationals, including service and manufacturing, in the public and private sectors, and with Business Schools including Henley, Warwick, Judge at Cambridge University, and Duke Corporate Education. Contributing to the development of new MBA programmes, and facilitating MBA and Executive Education events, I supervise and teach strategy, leadership, change, people management and personal development in countries from the UK to New Zealand, South Africa, USA, West Indies and Scandinavia.

Developing over many years, and having successfully completed a PhD in this area, my passion now is on the inner experience of work engagement and its application in organisations to enhance peoples’ well being whilst improving performance.
