Biography

My name is Tracy Brown. I’m an experience consultant, author, illustrator and educator.

In addition to a number of essays, I am the author of How We Talk About Work and How We Talk About Leadership. They are illustrated guides to the insights from two global research studies focussing on talented digital practitioners from around the world - people who are trying to make the best of their skills in workplaces that don’t always make that easy. The books are an opportunity for employers to get up close to real opinions, hopefully inspiring them to think of creative makers as more than just resources. They are also for creative makers who are struggling to feel heard and are looking for inspiration from their peers. They can help everyone to think about how to improve our employee experiences as we prepare for a future of doing innovative work with great people.

Consultant and educator

I started my digital design career in the late 90s and have since worked as a UI designer, FED, UX designer, service designer, CX strategist, Creative Director, Strategy Director (executive and non-executive) and course creator.

  • Employee Experience (EX), focussing on uplifting creative-making employee experiences and/or building service blueprints to connect employees to customers.

  • Learning Experience (LX), focussing on building courses, training and/or examining business models for learning potential.

Education
