Biography

I have worked as a Voice and Text Coach for The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Canada and as Professor of Voice at Penn State University in the USA. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, the External Examiner for The Birmingham Conservatoire MA/MFA in Professional Voice Practice, an Associate Artist of The Globe Theatre, and have an MA in Voice Practices and am a Designated Linklater Teacher. I have taught internationally at The Moscow Arts Theatre School, La Esculela Superior de Arte Dramatico, Valencia, and the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. I have been Head of Voice in four Leading Theatre Institutes and have 28 yrs. of Professional Experience teaching young actors, and coaching leading actors at the RSC, Shakespeare’s Globe, Chichester Festival Theatre, Manchester Royal Exchange, The National Theatre of Scotland, and across the West End.
