Experience

Teow Chong (TC) has more than 30 years of experience as a trainer, coach and organizational consultant across Asia. He has worked with thousands of executives, at all levels in organizations, from a wide variety of industries to help them improve and expand their leadership capability as they grew into bigger and more complex regional and global roles. His personal motto is: “I aspire to inspire before I expire”.

TC has more than 20 years of hands-on line and staff management experience in several premium American Multinational Corporations in the IT, Finance and Travel Related, Shipping and Telecommunications sector prior to embarking on his consulting and coaching career. During his years as an independent consultant, he has taken on the approach of providing transformation coaching to both individuals as well organization units. TC was an adjunct professor with the Singapore Management University from 2005 through 2007, introducing Leadership to budding executives. He spent 15 months focusing on leadership development in a healthcare organization and has recently returned from a one year stint in Shenzhen coaching and mentoring executives in a retail giant.

TC played a key role in bringing CCL’s leadership development solutions, including coaching, to our clients in Asia, with particular emphasis on our clients in China.

Current Role

As a Senior Facuilty member at CCL, TC facilitates in some of CCL’s open enrolement programs including Leadership at the Peaks and the Leadership Development Program. He designs and delivers customs programs for all levels of leaders and has been the lead designer and faculty for a multi-year, multi-level program for a major government agency. TC also facilitates in CCL’s New Coach Orientation program as well as the CCL Way program which is the faculty development program.
As a certified CCL coach, TC brings his international business background to work with individuals and organizations.

Educational Background

TC earned a First Class Honors in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from National University of Singapore. He later earned an MBA with specialization in Organization Behavior and Organization Development, also from NUS.
TC received training as an Executive Coach through the Corporate Coaching Program offered by the Corporate Coach University International and the Coach Training Program offered by the Coach University in 2001.

Professional Affiliations

In the professional arena, TC has been an executive committee member of the Singapore Training and Development Association (STADA). He was an Executive Committee member for three years from 1986 to 1989 and was the President of STADA from April 1992 through March 1995. He was the Founding Chairman of the STADA Coaching Community in 2002.
