Biography

THNK School of Creative Leadership

I love being part of an engaging environment. If people are laughing, you know something is going well.

I've devoted my professional career to engaging people using laughter; first with playwriting, screenwriting, stand-up comedy, storytelling, and improvisational theatre (improv). You know you're doing well at any of these if you have a high LPM count – that's laughs per minute.

I particularly connected with improv because of the spontaneity and the collective discovery. In order to do well you need to adhere to the basic rules: say "Yes And" to any idea, and really listen and connect with your fellow players. And with these, you can develop mindsets that can help you be a better communicator, presenter, storyteller, innovator, and leader.

At THNK, I co-design and deliver innovation and leadership programs for the Executive Leadership Program and Custom Programs. My formal education includes a B.A. in English Literature from Boston University and an M.A. in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam.
