Professor Eaton, FACHE, is a clinical assistant professor in the Institute of Health Administration. He teaches courses in health law, policy, and finance courses as well as a course on introduction to the United States healthcare system. He teaches on the undergraduate and graduate level. He also has over thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry as a lawyer, banker, compliance officer, business development officer, government relations director, and consultant. He has worked at the Health Care Financing Administration (now Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) as the Associate Administrator for Program Development. He also has served on policy committees/boards in both the public and private sector. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (Fellow status), American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Health Care Compliance Association, Health Information Management and Systems Society and the National Association of Health Services Executives. Prior teaching experience includes positions at State University of New York Stony Brook and University of Maryland University College.
