Biography

Stockholm School of Economics

I am the Jacob Wallenberg professor of economics. My research focuses on imperfectly competitive markets (Industrial Organization) with an emphasis on investigating responses by firms to uncertainty and various risks, in particular exchange rate risk, see here for publications

My book "Managing Risk and Uncertainty" was recently published by MIT Press. It targets courses in risk management at the master and advanced bachelor level. Such courses typically rely on text books where the focus is squarely on financial means to deal with risk. To cover broader aspects of risk management teachers rely on case studies and professional lore. By synthesizing insights from several different fields the book aims to be a useful complement to a textbook in finance. It also aims to be engaging and useful to decision makers in firms. More information on the book is availablehere.

I teach Microeconomics at the undergraduate level and Industrial Organization at the PhD level.
