Biography
Henley Business School
Keith Heron is an Associate Professor at Henley Business School.
Keith works with early stage entrepreneurs and guides Masters students in the process of helping entrepreneurs to gain market credibility. He is the module convener for MSc Entrepreneurship and Venture Start-Up and MSc Entrepreneurship, with a focus on enabling students to experience what it feels like to be in the early stages of entrepreneurship and helping students gain empathy through close association with and observation of entrepreneurs and their practices, with an annual study visit a key part of these practice opportunities.
Keith moved from the world of business into management education following completion of his MBA at Henley in 2000. He spent five years in Queensland from 2003, where he widened his experience in government SME programmes and university entrepreneurship module design.
Upon return to the UK, Keith was recruited by Dragons' Den's Peter Jones to create the Pathfinder course for the National Enterprise Academy (NEA), which is now under Peter Jones' oversight. Keith is an active mentor to several young entrepreneurs, some from the NEA Pathfinder. His business life included working in the industrial goods sales division of Kimberly-Clark, as an export manager for a family SME and leading his own startup from 1989-2000.
