Presentation

The research is based within organizational theory and within that area. The research started with Organizational culture, and it is still a subject, but a number of other subjects has been added in a research with empirical focus upon SMEs, the music industry, the film industry and in general creative industries / the experience economy.
The other topics that the research has spread into are: Sensemaking, identity, organizational change, innovation, creativity and emotions in organizations.
Human resource management has been a topic of interest for a very long time and especially the interrelation between organizational theory and HRM. Within HRM there has been a continuing interest in downsizing.
The interest for creative industries (and experience economy has led to a very kind interest for the relation between art and organizing and leading (Art-Based methods) that has been pursued very much over the last two decades in and around the Art of Management and Organization community (and in other networks as well). Within this field a special interest in poetry has developed and is still very much at the heart of the research.
