Dr. Maura Stevenson joined MedVet as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2017. In this role, Dr. Stevenson oversees all aspects of the Employee Experience, including talent management, compensation and benefits, leadership and employee development, and organizational development.

Prior to joining MedVet, Dr. Stevenson served as Vice President of Talent Management at The Wendy’s Company, accountable for key human resources processes, including talent acquisition, leadership development, training design, employee engagement, succession planning, performance management, and diversity & inclusion. Before Wendy’s, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Starbucks, leading human resource generalist responsibilities for several corporate functions, including marketing, store development, consumer products, finance, human resources, public affairs, and legal/corporate affairs. During her tenure with Starbucks, Dr. Stevenson also held several positions focused on leading organizational development. Areas under her management included succession and performance management processes, as well as the company’s corporate-wide climate survey. Preceding her nine years with Starbucks, Dr. Stevenson held several positions of increasing scope and complexity with Merrill Lynch, American Re-Insurance, and The Hartford.

When outside of the office, Dr. Stevenson enjoys traveling, singing, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and two small mixed breed rescue dogs.
