Associate Professor Emeritus Matthew Tuite joined the Northwestern School of Business faculty in 1965 after receiving MBA and DBA degrees in Quantitative Business Analysis at Indiana University. He had a decade of industrial experience as a manufacturing executive between his undergraduate years at the University of Notre Dame and his graduate studies. Professor Tuite retired from Kellogg in 1992 but continued to teach part-time until 1998. He resides in Evanston.

Professor Tuite developed and taught courses in Production and Operations Management; particularly in Quality Control and Manufacturing Strategy. These were his areas of research and consulting. He traveled widely to overseas manufacturing facilities and taught regularly at the Allen Center and in the Sasin program in Thailand.
