GIBS Business School
Lanier Covington is a Professional Associate of the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). He has been associated with GIBS since 2007 and has worked on both academic and customised corporate programmes.
Lanier is a Facilitator, Learning Integrator, Personal Development Coach and Action Learning Coach. His areas of focus include personal effectiveness, leadership, and management development, change management, team effectiveness and organisational effectiveness.
Lanier has owned his own consultancy since 2003, providing generalist consulting and training and development services to corporates and individuals. Prior to this he held several senior operational and training positions in one of the world’s largest fast-food franchise organisations.
Since joining GIBS, Lanier has had the privilege of working across various sectors including mining, financial services, construction, telecommunications, and energy at all organisational levels. Additionally, Lanier has successfully delivered learning and development interventions in the United States, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Malaysia, Dubai, and India.
