Bauer College of Business

Kelly McCormick is a Professor of Practice and Program Director at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Her work focuses on helping students and faculty members at University of Houston launch startups.

She teaches startup-focused classes, including Introduction to Technology Entrepreneurship, Women in Entrepreneurship, Arts & Entrepreneurship and the RED Labs accelerator course in the business school, as well as Design Practice and Business for Industrial Design students in the College of Architecture and Design. She also runs the UH startup accelerator, RED Labs, that helps UH students and faculty with the resources and mentorship to launch startups. Recently, RED Labs branched off to create RED Launch, a small business accelerator for students who've created side hustles.
