Jody is committed to deepening the relevance and impact of the School's activities.

Jody joined Melbourne Business School in 2002 as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing. Prior to joining the School, she held senior research positions in both the UK and Australia. Jody completed a PhD in the area of International Marketing at Monash University in 2000. She also has an Arts degree in English Literature and Psychology and a Marketing (Honours) degree from Monash University.

Jody’s professional expertise and research interests include marketing strategy; branding; arts marketing; not-for-profit marketing; and economic and social impact. Jody’s work has been published in a range of journals including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Marketing and European Journal of Marketing.

Jody has an outstanding record of accomplishment in engaged research and uses marketing acumen and capabilities to address important challenges in industry, government, arts and social contexts. She has extensive advisory and management development experience in multiple sectors. She leads market research, strategic reviews and management development seminars and workshops. Partner organisations include BP Australia, Australia Post, Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Victoria, Committee for Greater Shepparton, Museum Victoria, National Gallery of Victoria, Bendigo Art Gallery, Koorie Heritage Trust and Melbourne Recital Centre.

Current projects examine a range of issues including: improving the retirement outcomes for Australians by optimising their financial security; audience engagement and community-building in the arts; and investigating drivers of brand attachment in arts organisations.

Jody is a board member of the Melbourne Recital Centre and former board member of the Shepparton Art Museum Foundation and Public Galleries Association of Victoria.

In addition to her research, Jody lectures in Marketing and Consumer Behaviour on the MBA and Senior Executive MBA programs and is the Director of the MBS Women in Leadership Program.
