Biography

Jin Nam Choi is Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at Seoul National University. He received his PhD in organizational psychology from The University of Michigan. Prior to joining Seoul National University in 2007, he worked as an assistant professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

His research has focused on multilevel approach to innovation implementation in organizations, team processes and effectiveness, individual and team creativity, and organizational citizenship behavior. His research has appeared in numerous journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, the Journal of International Business Studies, and the Journal of Management Studies. He is currently serving as the editorial boards of the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Small Group Research.

He has taught Organizational Behavior, Group Dynamics and Group Processes, Behavioral Science, Organizational Research Practicum in various levels of studies including undergraduate, MS, MBA, and PhD. He was a recipient of Excellent Research Award from Seoul National University in 2008, 2010, and 2011. He was selected to receive Gallup Research Award from Gallup Korea in 2010 and JOB Excellent Reviewer Award from the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Wiley-Blackwell in 2009.
