Biography

Jialiang graduated with a 1st Class Honors degree in Materials Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and completed his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering under the full sponsorship of the Joint MINDEF-NTU funding at Nanyang Technological University. He was awarded the Ian Fergusson Fellowship conducted at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA in 2009.

The nature of his degree/PhD course has prepared him with great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. From his work experience, he is involved in managing teams on strategic planning, staff development, project management (comprising of multi-agencies, bilateral collaborations and industry partnerships) and lab infrastructure setup.
