Biography

I joined Oakland University in 2020 as an Assistant Professor of Management. I hold a PhD degree in Organizational Behavior from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. My primary research focuses on the dynamics of power and leadership. Specifically, how the experience of power change (gain or loss) affects both individuals’ intra-personal perceptions and behaviors, as well as inter-personal relationships within the organization. I examine these questions using a multi-method approach, including laboratory experiments, computer simulations, and field-based investigations . My current research investigates how current, retrospected, and anticipated perceptions of social power impact individuals’ behaviors at work. Research Interest
