Francisco Javier Garrido has a degree in Business Management from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor of Science from L'Entreprise & Marketing from the International Institute of Communication in Paris. He is Master of Applied Communication (Michigan State University), Master of Business Administration-MBA (Queen's University Business School), Master of Business Administration and PhD in Management (University of Barcelona).

He has been director of MBA programs in Europe and America. He is visiting professor of postgraduate and MBA courses in Spain, Italy and the United States. He is director and professor of the Strategy Area and holder of the Henry Mintzberg Chair of International Management.

In addition to this extensive academic career, he has worked as a consultant and is a regular contributor to economic media, including the Harvard Business Review and Diario Expansión .

He has published more than 300 articles on Management and Strategy topics in prestigious magazines and the world economic press and is a recognized author of more than twenty books published by prestigious publishers on Strategy, Strategy Communication, Formulation and Strategic Thinking. On these topics he has published alongside renowned authors such as Henry Mintzberg (McGill University, Canada), Robert R. Kaplan (Harvard Business School, USA), Gerald Goldhaber (New York University) and Linda L. Putnam ( University of California at Santa Barbara, USA). He has been Dean and Advisor to prestigious Business Schools, and is the author and Director of the Collection "What is Learned in the Best MBAs in the World" at Grupo Planeta DeAgostini (Barcelona, ​​Spain) and of the "Guide to Choose an MBA” (Editorial Gestión 2000, Barcelona, ​​Spain).
