Biography
is Associate Director of the Career Development Centre of RSM. As a certified coach, she delivers training in communication effectiveness and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences. Prior to joining RSM, she delivered team-training and communication-training programmes designed to improve communication between colleagues as well as provide techniques for bridging different communication styles. These were often part of larger change management initiatives at both corporations and government agencies, such as the Robeco Investment Bank and the Dutch Police Communications Bureau. Dorothy Grandia is assistant director of the Career Development Centre at RSM, and communication faculty for the Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations.
She has delivered a TEDx talk in 2015 on leadership and confidence. Using her experience in the political arena, on the operatic stage, and in leadership and communication programmes she helps people develop their communication range and increase their influence. She completed degrees in Asian studies and development economics at the University of Texas at Austin, and vocal performance at the Mannes Conservatory/New School University in New York City. She has performed as an operatic soprano in lead roles in the Netherlands, France, and the USA.
