David Callaghan

An experienced Blockchain Professional who has been bringing integrated Blockchain, particularly Hyperledger and Ethereum, and Big Data solutions to the cloud, David Callaghan has previously worked on Hadoop, AWS Cloud, Big Data and Pentaho projects that have had major impact on revenues of marquee brands around the world.

As a veteran developer with twenty five years of hands-on experience developing enterprise systems in Java and Python, I use my depth of experience to help bring new data technologies to production. I'm certified in, and work extensively with, Hadoop, DataStax, MongoDB, AWS and Pentaho among others. I spend most of my time implementing, training and lecturing Modern Data solutions such as Hadoop on a hybrid cloud or Spark on Mesos.

I have a strong focus in Data Governance working with new and contributing to the new Data Governance Initiative platform applications like Atlas, Falcon and Ranger and I am particularly interested in leveraging blockchain solutions like Hyperledger in Data Governance and graph databases like Neo4J in Master Data Management.

Most recently, I've been bringing integrated blockchain (particularly Hyperledger and Ethereum) and big data solutions to the cloud with an emphasis on integrating Modern Data produces such as HBase, Cassandra and Neo4J as the off-blockchain repository.
