Connie Wanberg is a Professor and Industrial Relations Faculty Excellence Chair in the Work and Organizations Department at the Carlson School of Management. In her role as an educator, she teaches classes involving human resources management, leadership, industrial/organizational psychology, and organizational behavior. In her role as a researcher, she is known for her work on unemployment, job search, and careers. She is highly published in top tier refereed journals as well as numerous book chapters, and serves as an editorial board member for Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology. Wanberg has presented at numerous conferences throughout the world and has served as guest faculty at the University of Amsterdam, Universite Jean Moulin in Lyon, France and the Fundacíon Ortega y Gasset in Toledo, Spain. She is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the American Psychological Association. She has worked in several consulting roles for external organizations, and has also served in leadership positions at the University of Minnesota, including the chair of the HRIR department from 2006 to 2009 and as Associate Dean of the Carlson School of Management undergraduate program from 2011 to 2012.
