Biography

Villanova University

In my research, I draw on Aristotelian social philosophy to think through and apply ethics to the development of technology and user experience design. As a professor, I try to build the desire to exercise our capacities for logical thinking and equip students with key concepts and practices necessary for democratic citizenship. As a writer and editor, I stress clarity and the communicability of ideas to broad audiences.

Outside of academia, my professional interests are in UX research and AI policy and development.

More broadly, I have interests in music, digital culture, art, photography, and meaningful conversation.
