Biography

Harvard Medical School

My lab works at the interface of human genetics and drug discovery. We systematically identify connections between genes and the human biology they regulate through the integration of multiomic human datasets. The overarching goals of these analyses are to determine the function of understudied genes and to identify novel druggable targets. We then use the tools of chemical biology in combination with zebrafish genetic models to dissect the molecular mechanisms of these associations and to identify lead compounds. These studies will pave the way for the development of novel small molecules to treat cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
