Academic Interests
Dr. Synn is the Associate Director of the BIDMC Institute for Lung Health. His research focuses on quantitative imaging biomarkers of pulmonary vasculopathy, with a particular interest in the use of imaging to elucidate pulmonary disease pathogenesis and better characterize high-risk phenotypes of lung disease. He is currently supported by a K23 award to investigate whether pulmonary vascular pruning on CT is linked to the development of ILD-related complications, including progressive pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
