Biography

Amanda Henderson has been a Nursing Director at Qµeensland Health for the last 25 years.

Amanda has worked in nursing education in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. Her interests include extending staff capability. She has led the development and adoption of an Australian Nursing Standards Assessment Tool (ANSAT) and an Australian Midwifery Standards Assessment tool (AMSAT) that are used by universities across Australia to assess students' clin_ical performance during their placement. She has an active interest in ensuring the maintenance of standards of professional nursing, and she is currently a board member on the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia, Queensland. She also has a keen interest in interprofessional learning. She has co-authored, with Maree O'Keefe and Rebecca Chick, 'Interprofessional Learning Competencies' that are useful to guide curricula assessment for health care professionals.
