Biography

Yonathan Tadesse recognizes the potential in every student and teaches so that this potential is seen and fulfilled for every student. He believes that every student can learn math- regardless of background, prior experiences, or fears. He was born and raised in Atlanta, where he attended Emory University and graduated with his Bachelors of Business Administration. He developed a passion for teaching in college, while tutoring in local Atlanta public schools and teaching overseas in China. He previously taught for five years at W.W. Samuell High school and is currently teaching Algebra 2 and College Transition at the Law Magnet. He also serves as math chair and the coordinator of the Law Link Crew at the Law Magnet. He was recognized as one of the 2020-21 Dallas ISD Teachers of the Year.

He is also a proud husband and father. When he is not teaching, he is often spending his spare time with his family. He is married to his wife Xilebel and they have a son named Zane. Together, they are the XY&Z family.
