Background
Xue Wang joined the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University as an Associate Professor of Accounting in July 2012. Prior to coming to Fisher, she was on the faculty of Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta.
Her research is centered on the understanding of corporate governance mechanisms and the economic consequences of securities regulations. A unifying feature of her research is that it uses firm level data to ask and explore new questions within corporate financial reporting and corporate governance. Her research has appeared in leading accounting and finance journals such as Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Accounting Studies. She received the 2011 Emerald Citation for Excellence Award for her work with Ellen Engel and Rachel Hayes on “The Sarbanes Oxley Act and Firms’ GoingPrivate Decisions” published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics.
