Dr. Zhang’s research considers how firms should incorporate consumer behavioral biases into pricing and choice architecture design. He conducts both empirical research to tackle the descriptive problems of how certain behavior occurs, and theoretical research to tackle the prescriptive problems of how firms should respond.

In his recent work, he uses field experiments to develop evidence-based policy and marketing strategy recommendations. He has published his work in leading academic journals such as Management Science, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, U.S.A. His work has been covered by the Times, the Telegraph, Huffington Post, Xinhua News Agency, etc. At SKK GSB, Dr. Zhang teaches courses on Marketing Management and Marketing Analytics for the MBA program.
