Biography

Virginie Lefebvre Picon is a French architect and urban designer. She is professor of History and Architectural Culture at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’architecture de Paris-Belleville and has previously taught in Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris –Malaquais. She has been a visiting Scholar at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and Ecole d'Architecture de Versailles. Virginie is the author, and editor of numerous books and articles, among others: La Grande Arche de la Défense, Co-written with F. Chaslin, L'Architecture en Construction, co-written with C. Simonnet and is the editor of Les Espaces Publics Modernes. She has equally consulted as a designer/ urbanist in critical projects such as the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution, Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle.
