Boston University

Venkatesh Saligrama is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Division of Systems Engineering at Boston University. His research interests are in Statistical Learning, Video Analytics, Statistical Signal Processing, Information and Control theory, Sensor Networks.

He was a keynote speaker at the Homeland Security Summit and a plenary speaker at the Northeast Control Conference. He gave a plenary talk at the 2015 IEEE International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing. He has edited a book on Networked Sensing, Information and Control. He served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and has been on Technical Program Committees of several IEEE conferences. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the Presidential Early Career Award, ONR Young Investigator Award, and the NSF Career Award.
