Tom Linton is the chief procurement and supply chain officer for Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX), a $24B, industry-leading, Fortune Global 500 end-to-end supply chain solutions company with a global workforce of 200,000 and operations in over 30 countries.
In the beginning of his career, Mr. Linton spent 20 years at IBM, developing and founding several world-wide Trading and Technical Centers. After leaving IBM, Mr. Linton helped found E2Open, Inc., a supply chain software company. Mr. Linton has also served as chief procurement officer of Agere Systems, Freescale Semiconductor and he most recently held the title of executive vice president and chief procurement officer at LG Electronics.
Currently, Mr. Linton serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and serves on the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council for Logistics and Supply Chain.
Mr. Linton is a graduate of the University of Vermont, and has completed executive education programs at the University of Virginia, which is one of the 12 institutions of higher learning where he serves as a guest lecturer.
