Biography
Professor Thomas Dyckman''s interests are accounting, statistics, and quantitative approaches to decision making. A professor emeritus of accounting at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, his publications have dealt with econometric models, the investment decision, alternative accounting techniques, the behavioral effects of accounting reports, the economic consequences of accounting policy decisions, and statistical techniques. He is currently studying normative and descriptive decision making in accounting. In 1987 he received the American Accounting Association''s Outstanding Educator Award. He served on the Financial Accounting Foundation and the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Committee. During 1981 and ''82, he was president of the American Accounting Association and was its director of research from 1976 to 1978. He received the AICPA Accounting Research Literature Award in 1966 and 1978. He was acting dean during 1994-95 and 1996-97.
