Steve McGann

Steve is a provider of financial training on a wide variety of subjects and has the ability to link real life examples with his presentations. He has worked globally for institutions such as Bank for International Settlements, ECB, OPEC Fund, Securities and Futures Authority (Hong Kong) as well as many international banks and organisations. Steve gives courses on Bonds, Fund Management, Derivatives, Commodities, Technical Analysis, Capital Markets, Risk Management as well as linking these subjects in a constructive and entertaining way for graduate and residential programmes. Within these subject areas, he has taught a wide range of topics from introductory to advanced programmes including portfolio management, asset allocation, foreign exchange, money markets, options, futures, swaps, equity, bonds and fixed income products.

In his City career, he has worked in all these areas. He has first hand experience of bond sales as a Director at Chase Investment Bank and Tullett &Tokyo, where he set-up and ran a fixed income desk to arbitrage across bond, futures and money markets for a wide range of fund managers and investment clients. He has priced and sold structured bonds, swaps and options, and created solutions to clients' hedging needs and views on the market.

Steve has also studied Technical Analysis since 1980 and given courses on the subject from 1985, using various software and systems. He published forecasts on Reuters and published his own newsletter (Screentrader) utilizing many TA techniques.

He provides specialised financial training to banks, central banks, fund managers, regulatory authorities, securities companies, software houses, corporations, traders, accountants, lawyers and derivatives exchanges.
