The UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School
Séamas Kelly is Professor of Organisation, Technology & Society at the UCD School of Business. He has a PhD in Management/Organisation Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Microelectronics (1st Class) from University College Cork. He also holds a Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching from UCD, and is a practicing executive coach. Séamas' research interests are in the area of critical organisation and technology studies. He is a co-founder, and former Director, of the UCD Centre for Innovation, Technology & Organisation (CITO), and has held visiting appointments at the Universities of Cambridge and Sydney. His work is broadly concerned with the challenges of living and working in a technological age, including:
- the relationship between knowledge, technology & social organisation;
- practices of knowledge production/consumption & their politics;
- digital innovation processes & their social implications;
- social collaboration & learning;
- organisational change management & its politics;
- leadership & coaching cultures;
- affectivity & embodiment in processes of knowing, organising & relating;
- praxeological approaches to social/cultural inquiry.
