Dr Sarah Kneebone is a Research Fellow at BehaviourWorks Australia, and has most recently worked on projects on social inclusion and investigating the impact of BWA’s partnerships. She has also been heavily involved with the development of BWA training offerings, including program design, material production and delivery. She completed her PhD in applied psychology, examining water saving and water pollution behaviours in Australia.

Originally from the UK, Dr Kneebone holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development (Imperial College & School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (secondary-level science, University of Cambridge), a Master’s degree in Conservation (University College, London) and a Bachelor’s degree (with honours) in Biological Sciences (University of Bristol).

Dr Kneebone has worked as a formal and informal educator in Honduras, the Philippines, Oman, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Canada, Russia, Thailand, the USA, the UK, South Africa, China, Spain and Germany, specialising in environmental education and education for sustainable development. Prior to her arrival in Australia, Dr Kneebone was the head of education and public engagement at the Oman Botanic Garden, where she established strategic interpretation and marketing programs, and built an education centre for schools focused on biodiversity conservation and sustainability.
