Sampath Ramesh (Sam) is the President and Co -founder of Showatech Inc., a venture with Brakes India (TVS Company - $3 billion group). The company specializes in the distribution of Brake parts and Turbo charger components to major OEM’s and Tier 1 companies in North America. In addition to this, Sam is also the President and Co- founder of Meso America Inc, Kenosha, Wisconsin a leading manufacturer and distributor of products to the food service industry. Meso operates a 100% owned manufacturing unit in India and employs more than 200 people.
Previous to this, Sam worked as the Resident Director of Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), Ministry of Commerce, and Government of India and was based in Chicago. He was responsible for the Trade Development between India and North America.
Sam has consulted various US companies including Borg Warner, Briggs and Stratton, Allied Signal etc. in setting up green field operations in India. He continues to train CEO’s and Sr. Managers of Leading US Companies on the cultural aspects of “Doing Business with India” and to serve as a guest lecturer at various leading business schools around the globe. Sam currently serves on the Advisory Council of the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, DePaul University.
Sam has a Mechanical Engineering Degree and a Masters in Business Management from University of Mysore. He also received an International Business diploma from Thunderbird, CBI Netherlands and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
