Ph.D. University of Valladolid Ph.D. (C) - University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He has been a consultant for the World Bank, founder and member of the Board of Directors of several companies, consultant Industrial Restructuring Program of Costa Rica in the sectors of Leather and Footwear, Textiles, Clothing, Food and Plastics. He previously served as Director of the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS) as Associate Dean in charge of executive training, marketing and recruitment of master's programs and as Executive Director of INCAE.
Prior, he was General Manager of a restaurant chain; and Process Engineer, Deputy Manager and Head of Production at Columbia Broadcasting System of Sony Music
