Research & Teaching Interests
Professor Kesner''s current research focuses on knowledge, identity, and data management within the enterprise and across industries. Through a recent fellowship award, Professor Kesner received funding to study employee expectations concerning the MIS competencies of Northeastern University undergraduates. This research is now complete and has yielded a formal presentation before the ACSSB and a publication in a major scholarly journal.
Industry & Academic Experience
Prior to his Northeastern University assignment, Professor Kesner served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of CELT Corporation, an IT strategy and architecture firm working with K-12 public education systems. He has also served as a senior IT executive for Northeastern University, MetLife, Babson College, Multibank (now part of Bank of America), and the Faxon Company. He consults widely in IT strategy and deployment with both for- and not-for-profit organizations.
