Cranfield School of Management

Philippa joined Cranfield School of Management in 2003, and since then her focus has been on executive education, designing and directing executive development initiatives for middle and senior managers. She has worked with a wide range of clients in a broad range of sectors undertaking significant organizational change. She is an expert in designing and delivering assessment services, and providing strategic competency and capability based interventions. Her key research interests are in talent management. Prior to joining Cranfield, her career spanned design, manufacturing and key account management.

Philippa has completed a Masters in Organisational Behaviour at Birkbeck College, University of London. She holds the British Psychological Society Certificates of Test User: Occupational, Ability certification (formerly Level A) and Test User: Occupational, Personality certification (formerly Level B). She is also accredited in many of the leading psychometric tools from suppliers such as Saville Consulting, OPP, CEB (formally SHL), Talent Q, Belbin, StrengthScope and Team Focus including MBTI I & II, Belbin, Firo B, OPQ32r, 16PF and WAVE.

Current activities

Philippa has extensive experience in designing and directing successful executive development initiatives for middle and senior managers, enabling them to develop a broader organisational perspective and accelerate their personal development, particularly in their general management leadership and team capabilities.

Philippa’s experience includes Programme Directing executive development interventions for a wide range of clients in a broad range of sectors, from SMEs to large global organisations across Europe, Asia Pacific and the USA, many of whom are undertaking significant organisational change. Philippa’s research area is in Talent Management and has a special interest in the development of high potential individuals. She also has extensive expertise in designing and delivering assessment services and providing strategic competency and capability-based interventions. Philippa is also an experienced executive coach.

Philippa is Director of the Talent Development Programme and is also involved in the design and delivery of the General Management Portfolio of programmes at Cranfield. She has Programme Directed on the Business Growth Programme for several years and worked in Customised Executive Development for over 14 years. Her clients have included; Gazprom, Volvo, MOD, Etisalat Nigeria, Natural History Museum, ghd and Keele University.
