Biography

Aalto University School of Business

For me, the recipe for "high growth entrepreneurship" requires:

1) an active start-up scene populated by individuals courageous enough pursue opportunity where others see risk; 2) a base of large companies who often provide the inspiration for and initial impetus behind ground breaking opportunities even if they choose not to do so directly in the initial stages; and 3) an innovation habitat that encourages calculated risk-taking and experimentation while appreciating that truly innovative activities imply experiencing failure and setback.

BACKGROUND

Originally from the Great White North (Canada). Studied an MBA at University of Notre Dame (USA). After a stint as a corporate and investment banking working with entrepreneurs in the cable television, broadcasting and publishing industries, I completed a PhD at the London Business School (UK).
