Dr. Pablo Cardona is Adjunct Professor of Management at CEIBS. He has been a full-time professor of the Department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE since 2008 and has been teaching at CEIBS as Visiting Professor of Management since 2011.

Professor Pablo Cardona graduated from University of Barcelona with a degree in physics. Then he received his MBA from IESE and Ph.D. in management from University of California, Los Angeles.

Professor Cardona’s interests lie in the area of leadership, management development and cross-cultural research. He combines theoretical research with applied research, having done consulting for companies such as Volkswagen-Audi, Danone, and Sony. He has also developed and coordinated in-company seminars for multinational organisations such as Oracle, Abbot, Novartis, Nestlé, and Roche both in Spain and overseas.

Professor Cardona has published in leading academic journals, including Strategic Management Journal, International Journal of Manpower, Group & Organization Management, Leadership & Organization Development, and Motivation & Emotion and he has received three awards from the Academy of Management. He has edited and collaborated on several research books including Trust Development in Hierarchical Organizations: A cross-cultural review and Handbook of Chinese Organizational Behavior. His research has also been published in practitioner journals such as PKU Business Review or Harvard-Deusto Business Review. Hand he has written several practitioner books on Leadership and Management, such as How to develop Leadership Competencies, Growing as a Leader, and Management by Missions.
