Background and Education
Nicholas Wheeler is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). His research interests include European state-building and political change, international political economy and the politics of globalization.
Dr. Wheeler has served as an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia. He is a prolific writer and speaker whose conference papers and talks have been featured by the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies, the American Political Science Association, and the Council for European Studies among many. He has been the recipient of awards and fellowships from the University of Colorado, Brigham Young University, and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars’s European Studies Program.
Dr. Wheeler received his BS in Political Science from Utah State University and his PhD from the University of Virginia.
