RESEARCH INTEREST

Within the fields of International Business and Strategy, my research focus is on Emerging Markets, Innovation and BOP studies. I am passionate about understanding innovative and inclusive business models that help in building nascent industries (‘market building’) in emerging markets. Owing to my academic and managerial experience in the insurance sector, I am intrigued by the financial inclusion strategies (specifically leveraging of technology for reach, affordability and creating awareness) for the un-served and under-served segment. Of late my research interests have tilted towards public policy initiatives in emerging / developing markets and relevance of reverse innovation towards cross pollinating learnings and experiences of such public policy initiatives in and between emerging markets and developed markets.
