Hult Ashridge Executive Education

Dr. Mike Cooray is Professor of Strategy with Ashridge Executive Education at Hult International Business School. Mike is an experienced professional working across the UK, Australia, South East Asia, Middle East and Europe. His areas of expertise are in contemporary strategic management issues including innovation, marketing, brand management and digital transformation.

Mike has designed and delivered executive education and postgraduate programs with clients in Europe, UK, Asia and the Middle East. Mike is the Academic Director for Research Projects on the Executive MBA and other master's programs at Ashridge and works across Hult campuses in London, Dubai and Shanghai. He also leads the open program ‘Accelerating Digital Value Creation’.

Mike has undertaken consultancy, research and management development across the world, including Canada, US, India, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Malaysia. Prior to joining academia, Mike was employed with multinational organizations such as Carlsberg, Siemens and Mercedes Benz.

Dr. Cooray has published his research in Frontiers in Psychology, The European Business Review, Harvard Business Publishing and the Journal of Marketing Education. His thought-leadership articles in the area of digital transformation, strategy and complex ecosystems have been published in the World Economic Forum, CNN, Discover, Newsweek, Chartered Institute of Management, WeekendAvisen and Politiken. Mike holds a PhD, an MBA with distinction, an MSc in Practice-based Research, Diploma in Marketing (CIM) and a PGCE. His PhD research explored entrepreneurial business practices and innovation in dynamic organizations.
