Rotterdam School of Management
Miguel Muñoz Duarte is Entrepreneurship Professor at NOVA SBE and executive director of its entrepreneurship and innovation centre - the Nova SBE Venture Lab.
Previously, he served as a marketer for Henkel and later for Danone. He has more than 10 years’ experience as a brand and marketing manager, in Portugal, Spain, the USA, and in Mexico, where he was the innovation manager for LATAM.
In 2005, after returning from Mexico, he became an entrepreneur and has since founded and developed several companies, such as Imatch, an innovation and creativity boutique consultancy working with several big corporations.
In partnership with the Lisbon city hall and Vodafone, he also organises a startup competition where several teams of entrepreneurs compete to create the best tech for improving life in the city.
Miguel was born in 1975 and is half Portuguese and half Spanish, and Mexican by adoption. He currently lives in Lisbon with his wife and three beautiful children.
