Rotterdam School of Management

Mignon van Halderen runs the professorship Thought Leadership at the Fontys School of Applied Communication Sciences (Fontys Hogeschool Communicatie).

She also has her own company, Leading Thoughts, that advises organisations on making choices about thought leadership strategies. She supports them with developing a novel viewpoint and to align this with their strategy and identity.She also offers in-company presentations to organizations that are keen on pursuing a thought leadership strategy, but first like to have a richer insight into its meaning and how it can be pursued.

She further teaches the executive course Thought Leadership at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Communication Research at the Master of International Communication Management at The Hague Applied University. With regard to the latter, she won the Lecturer of the Year award in 2014.

Mignon has a PhD in Corporate Communication and ten years of experience in research, teaching and consulting at the Corporate Communication Centre of the Rotterdam School of Management. She has become skilled in taking an evidence-based approach to business problems (both qualitatively and quantitatively) and to make academic models useful for a business audience. She navigates between academic thinking and intuitive creativity and pragmatism.

Mignon runs the Professorship Thought Leadership at Fontys University of Applied Sciences (School of Communication) in Eindhoven. The goal of this professorship is to develop innovative knowledge on Thought Leadership and share this with a large community of organisations, researchers, communication professionals, teachers and students. She also advises organisations on making choices about thought leadership strategies and offers in-company presentations to organizations that are keen on pursuing a thought leadership strategy, but first like to have a richer insight into its meaning and how it can be pursued. Within the MCC program of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Mignon teaches the executive course Thought Leadership and coaches students during their graduation project. She also teaches Communication Research at the Master of International Communication Management at The Hague Applied University. With regard to the latter, she won the Lecturer of the Year award in 2014.
