Biography
Vlerick Business School Executive Education
Martin Roach obtained a Bachelor of Science in International Economics alongside a French language degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2012 in St. Paul, MN, U.S.A. With a keen interest in researching and understanding energy issues from a holistic – economic, environmental, and social – standpoint, he continued to broaden his knowledge thanks to an Erasmus Mundus program. He participated in the Economics and Management of Network Industries master’s program, an interdisciplinary pathway focusing on the Electric Power Industry at Comillas University in Spain and the Digital Economy at Paris Sud VI in France.
Upon reception of the master’s degrees, he returned to the United States to gain business experience as a business analyst for a SCADA and automation solutions platform provider and as a deregulated market analyst for an energy and sustainability management company.
He enthusiastically joined the Energy Centre of Vlerick Business School as a research associate in the fall of 2016. He intends on thoroughly uncovering key insights and synergies where Energy meets Digital.
