Director, Policy Program, University of Minnesota

Michele Gross is the director of the University of Minnesota's policy program. Gross joined the university in 1978 and has held a number of positions there, including 13 years as an accounts payable manager, business project manager for a five-year grants management improvement effort, manager of a sponsored accounts receivable software implementation, and business lead for the discovery phase of the university’s financial system replacement. In these prior positions, Gross served as a policy owner, writer, and facilitator. In Gross's current role as policy program director, she regularly speaks on policy development and best practices at conferences and at other institutions.

Gross received her undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University. She served four years as the chair of the Association of College and University Policy Administrators, is a long-term chapter member of the Children's Minnesota Foundation, and member of the Minnesota Policy Management Network.
