Capt Michael P. Elwert is the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Elektrans Group. Michael has worked within global shipping his entire working life and has over two decades of international management experience within the international maritime industry. He has gained his global shipping acumen and exposure working from Denmark, Norway, South Africa, USA as several countries in Asia. In 2009, he joined the Executive Management Team in the Thome Group of Companies based in their HQ Singapore, where he was appointed Group Director responsible for “Strategy, People and Systems”. He was assigned 2 years with the Danish Shipowners’ Association followed by an Executive role as Chief Commercial Officer with BIMCO.
